GALA TAKE ON CHELSEA

Galatasaray take on Chelsea in the last 16 of the Champions League looking to beat the favourites to win the English league title.

Galatasaray managed to reach this stage after beating Juventus in very difficult circumstances in the final group match. However, Roberto Mancini has almost conceded defeat ahead of this encounter by saying that Chelsea are almost 80% certain to go through to the next round. A win for the blues in Turkey should be enough to see them through, although it has been a difficult place for English clubs to visit in recent years.

The match will also see striker Didier Drogba come up against Chelsea for the first time since leaving the club in 2012. He is regarded as a legend amongst other Chelsea supporters and it will be interesting to see how he performs after having not played at this level for a long time. Mancini has a lot of experience of playing against Chelsea after being in charge of Manchester City until last season. Mancini has raised the attention by claiming that Chelsea players are used to playing at this level on a regular basis.

Hence, they are likely to cope with the pressure much better than their Galatasaray rivals. Mancini has been in charge of Galatasaray since 2012.

"They have fantastic players used to playing games like this. I think they have an 80% chance of going through. They have really good players - these players who can change the game at any moment. Didier was an important man, an important player for Chelsea. Wesley won a Champions League at Inter Milan under Mourinho. They have a good relationship with him, but tomorrow, for 90 minutes, I think they will be enemies,” said Mancini while also speaking about the relationship of Mourinho and his former players.
